The European Tree Frog
Last August, we took a trip to the beautiful nature reserve 'Het Zwin' in Belgium. The reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including the European tree frog, which is a protected species. We were lucky enough to spot several of these frogs in their natural habitat and capture some stunning photos of them.
These tiny creatures are known for their distinctive green coloration and their ability to blend seamlessly into their surroundings. One kind nature volunteer pointed them out to us. The frogs were basking in the sun, their green skin perfectly camouflaged against the lush greenery of brambles.
The images don’t really show just how small these frogs are. You can look at them closely and still miss them, as they’re so well camouflaged.
Our new 100-500mm lens is perfect for capturing these tiny creatures in their natural habitat. The lens allowed us to get just a little closer to the frogs without disturbing them.
It was a pleasure to witness these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat — a good reminder to always take a closer look at the world around us!
See you next time!
